Big Little Days at MMCM

Big Brothers Big Sisters 001

All Big Brothers and Big Sisters are invited to bring their Little Brothers and Little Sisters to the MMCM, year-round, for a discounted price.

Breastfeeding Awareness Fall Fest

Expectant and new mothers, their children and families are welcomed at the MMCM. Community partners provide education, information, entertainment, support, and personal experiences related to the benefits of breast feeding.

Career Links participant

The Saginaw Intermediate School District Career Links program helps Saginaw County’s high school juniors and seniors attain the skills needed the become successful, responsible, work-ready adults.

Children’s Zoo at Celebration Square

Zoo-seum 5 Day Summer Camps! Campers spend time at both the MMCM and the Children’s Zoo. Activities are integrated to provide hands-on learning at both locals!

Delta College Work Study site

Federal Work-Study is a self-help program to assist with college expenses. Work-study provides part-time jobs at non-profit organizations off-campus. Work-study students receive bi-weekly paychecks, and use the earnings to pay their educational costs such as living expenses, transportation, books, etc.

Great Lakes Bay Autism Center

The GLBAC partners with the MMCM to provide parent training, behavior strategies, communication techniques and community resources. Siblings learn about their sibling’s disability, and children on the autism spectrum practice social skills.

Safe Routes to School

MMCM and South Elementary School received funds to install a pedestrian signal inside the Museum. Children and adults can practice safe street crossing by using the signal.

Power Play Saturday

Children learn how to keep their heart and body healthy in a fun way! Community partners include: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Saginaw Chapter, Michigan CardioVascular Institute Foundation, Saginaw ISD Head Start and Early Headstart, Saginaw Black Nurses of Saginaw, and the American Heart Association.

Public Libraries

Ask your local library for the MMCM family day pass. Patrons can check out the pass and visit the MMCM for free!

Scouting Sunday

Girls and boys up to age 12 years can visit the MMCM with troop leaders, parents and guardians for a fun play day or to work on a specific badge. Call the MMCM to reserve your date and learn about museum badges you can earn.

Senior Sunday

Seniors, age 60 years and older, are welcome to visit the MMCM on Sundays, October through May – FREE! Bring the grandkids, enjoy the day.

SVRC Industries, Inc. Work Place training site

In order to maintain the spotless and sanitary environment that families expect, a skilled, supervised SVRC cleaning team arrives every Tuesday to wash, polish and dust the various elements and surfaces throughout the MMCM facility.
